2026-1132026-113 Resolution Acknowledging Promotion of Employee To Head Maintenance Mechanic In The Buildings and Gro At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 27, 2026. The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. WHEREAS, Branden Dingee has been employed in the Buildings and Grounds department as a full-time Maintenance Mechanic, and WHEREAS, the Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini and Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds Salvatore Messale advises that Branden Dingee exhibits an excellent work ethic and eagerness to learn and is an asset to the operation and function of the Town government, and WHEREAS, the Town has identified the new position of Head Maintenance Mechanic to be the best position for Branden Dingee to fill, and WHEREAS, the full time Head Maintenance Mechanic position is a non-competitive position under Civil Service Law which is not subject to competitive examination, and WHEREAS, the full-time Head Maintenance Mechanic position is subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and Teamsters Local 445 ("CBA"), and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 1. Branden Dingee is hereby appointed to the full-time civil service job title Head Maintenance Mechanic, effective April 27, 2026. 2. Branden Dingee shall be compensated at the hourly rate of $30.00 which shall be paid in weekly installments, in accordance with the CBA. 3. The Town Board hereby directs the Personnel Division of the Town Comptroller's Office to file this resolution and all necessary documentation with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. 4. The appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. The appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
