At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on April 13,
2026.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. Cavaccini, Town Supervisor, and upon roll

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilman
Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger has proposed implementing design changes to the Wildwood
Wastewater Treatment Plant (hereinafter referred to as WWTP); and
WHEREAS, recommended improvements include the relocation of the existing effluent discharge
outfall, which was the most cost-effective choice and will extend the useful service of the existing WWTP
and will be pursued by the Town Board; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to 6 NYCRR 617.6 the Town Board sought to be established as Lead Agency as
part of a coordinated review of this action with the identified Involved and Interested Agencies by
Resolution 2026-67; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board authorized the Secretary to the Town Supervisor Kaitlyn Aboshanab to
send out a Notice of Intent to all Involved and Interested Agencies on March 4, 2026, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board received no objections to their request to serve as Lead Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has classified this action as an Unlisted Action and prepared a Short Form
Environmental Assessment Form (SEAF) Part 1, 2, and 3 for the proposed project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger duly
convened as follows:
1. The Town Board, upon due deliberation of SFEAF Parts 1, 2, and 3 finds that the proposed action
will not result in any significant adverse environmental effects; and
The Town Board of the Town of Wappinger as Lead Agency, hereby issues a Negative Declaration
pursuant to the requirements of the SEQRA and authorizes Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini to sign
any and all documents under SEQRA, closing the SEQRA review of this project.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows
