Resolution Declaring March As Youth Art Month In The Town Of Wappinger
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,
New York, on March 23, 2026.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Councilman Beale.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger recognizes the importance of arts education in fostering creativity,
critical thinking, and cultural awareness amongyoung people; and
WHEREAS, participation in the visual arts enhances students' academic performance and supports the
development of problem -solving skills, self-expression, and confidence; and
WHEREAS, Youth Art Month is a national celebration observed each March to emphasize the value of art
education for all children and to encourage public support for quality school art programs; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is proud to support the artistic achievements of its youth and to
acknowledge the dedication of art educators who inspire and nurture student creativity; and
WHEREAS, celebrating Youth Art Month provides an opportunity to recognize the artistic talents of
students throughout the Town and to promote greater community appreciation for the arts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger does hereby
proclaim the month of March as Youth Art Month in the Town of Wappinger; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all residents are encouraged to recognize and support the artistic
endeavors of our youth and to participate in activities that celebrate and promote the visual arts within
our community.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
