Resolution Authorizing Transfer Of Funds
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls,
New York, on February 23, 2026.

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Councilwoman O'Dell.
WHEREAS, Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini and Recreation Director Jessica A. Fulton secured a
$75,000 Municipal Innovation Grant from the Dutchess County Government for the complete renovation
of the Town of Wappinger Senior Center located on the Town Hall campus; and
WHEREAS, the renovation work has been completed within the $75,000 grant -funded amount and
included, but was not limited to, construction of a new expanded kitchen facility, installation of new
restrooms, demolition and reconfiguration of interior walls, electrical improvements, installation of new
flooring, interior painting, and installation of a new ceiling; and
WHEREAS, Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds Salvatore Messale and Recreation Department Director
Jessica A. Fulton have requested, through the Town Comptroller and Town Supervisor, additional funds to
support final project needs including furnishings, technology, and related accruements necessary to
complete the Senior Center project by March 9; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board finds it to be in the best interest of the Town to authorize a transfer of funds to
ensure the full completion and readiness of the Senior Center for public use; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the transfer of Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) from A Fund Balance to the Senior Center Capital Project Fund for the
purpose of completing the Senior Center Renovation Project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Town Comptroller Daniel O. Tucker is hereby authorized and directed to
take all actions necessary to effectuate this transfer.
