Resolution Authorizing Budget Transfer For Equipment Purchase
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on February
9, 2026.

The following Resolution was introduced by Casella and seconded by Councilman
Phillips.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger Buildings & Grounds operations are responsible for the
maintenance of Town -owned properties, facilities, and sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, the Town currently relies on approximately 20 -year-old golf carts that are not
properly equipped, designed, or reliable for year-round maintenance activities, including
snow removal, grounds maintenance, and safe traversal of Town properties; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of a Kioti K9 Cab Side -by -Side with a 72 -inch snow plow
attachment will improve operational efficiency, enhance safety, and provide the capability
to plow sidewalks, access Town facilities in all weather conditions, and better maintain
Town -owned properties; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said equipment is $38,124.00; and
WHEREAS, MTE Equipment Solutions, Inc. has provided the lowest estimate for the
equipment; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the B -Fund Balance, and a budget transfer is
required to fund this purchase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby
authorizes the purchase of one Kioti K9 Cab Side -by -Side with 72" snow plow attachment
from MTE Equipment Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $38,124.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes a budget transfer in the amount
of $38,124.00 from B -Fund Balance to budget line B.7110.200 - Equipment to fund said
purchase; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini and Town
Comptroller Daniel O. Tucker are hereby authorized and directed to take all actions
necessary to effectuate this transfer and complete the purchase.
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
