2025-1972025-197 Resolution Authorizing Funding For The Wappinger Hometown Hero Banner Replacement Project At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on November 10, 2025. The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger is proud to honor and recognize the service and sacrifice of our local veterans, active duty service members, and their families through the Wappinger Hometown Hero Banner Program; and WHEREAS, many of the existing banners displayed throughout the Town have experienced wear due to weather exposure and age, necessitating replacement to preserve the dignity and visibility of this community tribute; and WHEREAS, the Town Board desires to continue this important program and ensure the replacement and installation of banners in time for upcoming observances and holidays honoring our veterans; and WHEREAS, the Town Board finds it in the best interest of the Town and its residents to allocate funds to support the Wappinger Hometown Hero Banner Replacement Project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger hereby authorizes an expenditure of up to Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) for the Wappinger Hometown Hero Banner Replacement Project, to be used for the purchase, design, printing, and installation of replacement banners; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said funding shall be appropriated from the B -Fund Balance, and Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini is hereby authorized to execute any and all necessary documents to carry out the intent of this resolution.
