I hope this message finds you well. My name is Nymisha Upadhyayula, and I am workingwith the Hindu
Samaj Jain Temple and Cultural Center to create a documentary on the early presence and development
of the Hindu community in the Wappingers Falls area, specifically between the 1950s and 1997.
I am reaching out to inquire whetheryour office might have access to any building records, permits,
architectural plans, inspection reports, renovation notices, or historical site
documentation connected to the following:
The Mid -Hudson Indian Association, which organized various cultural gatherings
during the 1950s -1980s in the region.
The Hindu Samaj Temple, which was located at 81 or 87 Pye Lane Road from the
early 1970s until its relocation in 1997 to 3 Brown Road.
If there are any archived materials related to structure usage, zoning classifications,
occupancy permits, renovations, or additions for the above-mentioned properties, I
would greatly appreciate the opportunity to review or obtain copies for research purposes.
Additionally, if you know of any other municipal departments or local repositories that may
