2025-1832025-183 Resolution Approving Memorandum Of Agreement With CSEA Local 1000 AFSCME AFL-CIO (CSEA) At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 14, 2025. The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger ("Town") and the CSEA, Local 100 AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Town of Wappinger Highway Employees Unit 66730, Dutchess County Local 914 Union ("Union") are parties to a Collective Bargaining Agreement, the term of which expires on December 31, 2025 (the "CBA"); and WHEREAS, the Town and the Union have been engaged in collective bargaining, which has led to a mutual understanding between the Town and the Union for the terms and conditions of employment for a successor agreement; and WHEREAS, the Town and the Union are desirous of reducing that mutual understanding to a written document. WHEREAS, the Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini has approached the collective bargaining agent for the at -issue positions and has reached terms for a memorandum of agreement ("MOA") (a copy of which is attached hereto), which the Town Board believes prudent to authorize signature of and wishes to ratify the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board does hereby adopt the following: 1. All terms and conditions of the existing CBA shall continue in full force and effect unless specifically modified by this Memorandum of Agreement ("MOA"). 2. This MOA is subject to ratification by the membership of the Union and by the Town's Board. 3. Authorizes Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini to sign and implement the attached memorandum of agreement and, also, ratifies the same. 4. Authorizes Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini to take such action as is necessary to implement the MOA, including the payment of wages either retroactively or prospectively, whichever the case may be. Should the need arise, the Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccini is authorized to make minor non -substantive revisions to the MOA.
