Resolution Acknowledging Hire of Trevor Devine for Highway
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, New York, held
at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on October 14, 2025.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. Cavaccini, Town Supervisor, and upon roll being called,
the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Phillips and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, a vacancy of a full time Motor Equipment Operator position exists in the Highway
Department, and
WHEREAS, the Superintendent of Highways Michael J. Sheehan has appointed Trevor Devine to the
position of Motor Equipment Operator effective October 3, 2025, and
WHEREAS, the full time Motor Equipment Operator position is a Labor position under Civil Service Law
which is not subject to competitive examination, and
WHEREAS, the full time Motor Equipment Operator position is subject to the terms of the Collective
Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Wappinger and CSEA, Locall000 AFSCME, AFL-CIO, Town of
Wappinger Unit 6673, Dutchess County Local 814, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
1. The Town Board hereby acknowledges the appointment of Trevor Devine as Motor Equipment Operator,
effective October 3, 2025, who shall be compensated at the rate of $32.50 per hour which shall be paid in
weekly installments, in accordance with the CBA.
2. The above appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human
Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess
County Department of Human Resources.
3. The above appointment is subject to a probationary term of not less than eight nor more than twenty-
six weeks in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources.
4. All necessary documentation for the appointment shall be filed with the Dutchess County Department
of Human Resources
The foregoing was put to a vote which resulted as follows:
