WHEREAS, a vacancy exists in a Seasonal Laborer position in the Buildings and Grounds Department, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that hiring seasonal employees in the Buildings and Grounds Department to assist with the repairs and maintenance of Town Buildings and Grounds is necessary, and WHEREAS, the Rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources authorizes the appointment of employees by the Town on a seasonal basis, and WHEREAS, the Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds recommends the appointment of one employee as Groundskeeper on a seasonal basis, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: 1. The Town Board hereby appoints Michael Thomas as Seasonal Laborer who shall be compensated at $21.33 per hour with a starting date retroactive to August 4, 2025. 4. This appointment is a seasonal appointment in accordance with the rules of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. S. This appointment is subject to the approval of the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources and is further subject to Civil Service Law and the Rules of New York State and the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. 6. All necessary documentation for the appointment shall be filed with the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources. 7. The 2025 Budget makes appropriations for this position.
