Resolution Reaffirming The 2007 Carnwath Farms Master Plan For The 2025
Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) Grant
Program For Parks, Preservation and Heritage NYS Office of Parks, Recreation &
Historic Preservation (OPRHP) "Carnwath Manor Feasibility Study and Preliminary
Engineering Project"
At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County,
New York, held at Town Hall, 20 Middlebush Road, Wappingers Falls, New York, on July 14,
2025.
The meeting was called to order by Joseph D. Cavaccini, Town Supervisor, and upon roll
being called, the following was recorded:

The following Resolution was introduced by Councilman Beale and seconded by Casella.
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger previously adopted the February 2007 Master Plan for the
Development and Operation of Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park to guide the utilization of this
property for recreational, social and cultural enrichment;
WHEREAS, the Town of Wappinger has made progress in implementing the goals and strategies outlined
in the Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Master Plan continues to provide a valuable framework for addressing the challenges and
opportunities impacting Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park; and
WHEREAS, the "Carnwath Manor Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering Project" EPF application
requires a resolution reaffirming support of the 2007 Master Plan and its associated goals and policies if the
Plan has not been revised for more than five years;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town
Supervisor to reaffirm this commitment to the 2007 Master Plan for the Development and Operation of
Carnwath Farms and its continued implementation as it relates to the "Carnwath Manor Feasibility Study
and Preliminary Engineering Project" grant application; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all considerations and actions related to the "Carnwath Manor
Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering Project" by all departments and agencies of the Town of
Wappinger shall be based on the 2007 Master Plan for the Development and Operation of Carnwath Farms
Historic Site & Park, until such time as an update to this recreational plan is adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Wappinger encourages continued public engagement
and participation in the proposed "Carnwath Manor Feasibility Study and Preliminary Engineering
Project"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, to the extent all or any actions hereby authorized have been executed
and/or performed by Town Supervisor Joseph D. Cavaccim, all are hereby ratified and confirmed and this
Resolution shall take effect immediately.
